I believe I mentioned at some point having a Midsummer's Night party. I realized that's getting close and while Miss Rushman and I have been planning I realize I neglected to send out formal invitations. This is my attempt at remedying that.

I believe I have already given confirmation of my attendance.

You did and I trust you got the invitation I had hand delivered?

[It was basically a scrap of paper with a scrawl of handwriting across it asking her to attend his party]

[ She laughs, recalling the fanfare with which the simple invite had been delivered. ]

It was quite an intricate invitation. I shall be preserving your hard work in a scrapbook.

A woman who truly appreciates my worth. Are you certain you won't marry me right now?

[He's laughing a good deal at the conversation already]

I believe your invitation is sufficient evidence of your deep and undying devotion to me, and so I am left with little choice but to accept your proposal.

[ She can't keep a straight face with this one. ]

[He doesn't even expect her too and furthermore he's pleased to get her laughing over it]

In that case we'll have the ceremony straight away. Something on the beach with a 100 or so of our closest friends. It'll be the event of the season I'm sure.

In that case, we should hold the ceremony during your party. That way the whole City shall be in attendance. It will be quite the spectacle.

It'll be the highlight of the party. [now he wants to do this for the shock factor]

And indeed, a party to remember.

[ A shame Reinette wouldn't actually let him go through with it... ]

[It really is. He'd make a good fake ex-husband.]

My best yet

[ Who would get the kids and the house in the divorce? ]

I think we would give quite a few people the shock of their lives.

[She would of course. In theory he's a very generous ex-husband]

All the more reason to do so. I'll have Miss Rushman draw up the annulment papers for the morning after.

[ And she would be quite generous in return, allowing him access to his workshop. She wouldn't want to be the shrewd ex-wife, y'know. ]

I wonder if ours would be the City's first divorce.

[They'd be the perfect divorced couple. Have dinner once a week just to discuss how the divorce is going]

Are you trying to tempt me even more so?

[ He would always have an open invitation to tea in the TARDIS and visitation with the kids whenever he wanted. ]

Is that an accomplishment you would like to call your own? "Another World's First Divorcee"?

[Obviously they function better as a divorced couple]

Only because it's the first and because my ex-wife would be so terribly charming.
