Raising a Weedle should be the same as raising any other kind of Pokémon, I think. I don't think I've seen one that large before!

Aah, well, Pokémon are quite different from the animals we're used to. But perhaps bug Pokémon would prefer to eat leaves? I admit that I'm not particularly experienced with bug Pokémon, though.
