School has started back up again and I am already tired of the CRAP and nonsense that comes with it. I am going to school to be a teacher and I vow that I will not put my students through what I have to go through. Seriously, in one of my classes we need a total of 3 binders and they have to be a certain sizes and have specific amounts of dividers in them (over 30 total.) THEN, once we have that down we need to go on blackboard and print, from our own computers, probably over 50 pages of "classnotes." Okay, well first that is a WASTE because almost everyone has laptops and can just save the info and organize it according. Second, the department of education specifies that a pre-professional teacher must be very capable of using technology not only in the classroom, but on a personal basis. I have an idea, how about LETS START NOW?
Other than that, the teacher for Inclusive Education seems really nice and cool. She said all of the work that needs to be done for the class will be done during class time. The science teacher seemed okay until the end. She gave us a lab to do on the first night and nobody can remember for the life of them how to caculate mass, volume, or density of water and she was not willing to help because she runs a "constructivist" classroom. Then the Effective Teaching Practices teacher seems okay, and I know its not personally her fault that we have to have all of those binders, dividers, folders, and such. However, she apparently doesn't disagree with it.
I really miss belly dancing, but all of Yvonne's classes are too early and all of my classes run until 7pm. Looks like I'll be waiting until spring...
