GIP! And wildlife report
Partial list of animals I have seen in the park by my house (this is- just barely- in Manhattan) in the last 2 years, many in the last 2 months:
Bat (largish)
Rat
Squirrels (tree and ground)
Field mouse (in my apartment, actually; caught with ease, fed cheese, reluctantly released into "Wild")
House mouse (also inside the apartment; not suseptible to catching)
Muskrat
Herons (white, great blue, & night)
Swan
Canada goose/gosling
Duck/duckling (saw some that were in Ducklings 2 a couple weeks ago- so advanced!)
Cormorant
Parrot
Turtle (unknown type)
Doggie
Songbirds, misc. birds (mockingbird, magpie, swallow, etc...)
Owl (auditory contact only)
I recommend the Firefox addon "stumble" for random web dawdling.
