CA ACTION ALERT: Community Actions to Respond to Governor's Veto
Message from COLAGE: Thank you for your tireless efforts to persuade California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to sign AB 849 -- the Religious Freedom and Civil
Marriage Protection Act. Youth and adults with LGBT parents were a crucial voice in securing votes within the Senate and Assembly for this bill and were loud and clear in calling for the Governor to pass this legislation into law.
Despite all of our best efforts, the Governor vetoed the measure yesterday afternoon. Today, Friday Sept. 30, we will gather together voicing a unified response. We want the Governor to know that his actions have a real and significant impact on thousands of youth with LGBT parents in this state.

Gather on Fri., Sept. 30 at 7pm at the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center, 1625
N. Schrader Blvd. We will rally and march a few blocks to the
Governorís star on Hollywood Boulevard where we will show the world that
Schwarzenegger is no real-life hero; heís a puppet of right wing
extremists and other political special interests. Please bring a
homemade puppet (paper bag, sock, etc.) to represent the Governor and
please bring your friends and family. This event is sponsored by several
national, state and local organizations, including the Family Pride
