stress hut
i've been having stressful pizza hut dreams the past few nights. the details always change slightly, but the gist stays the same...while my coworkers fuck around elsewhere, i'm working my ass off in the kitchen and am still getting buried deeper and deeper under a huge mess of work. last night's dream even included pizzas falling off the edge of the oven while others caught on fire inside the oven. there's also always an overwhelming presence of customers being let down, and me being the only one worried about it. last night, it was a lobby full of people staring at me as things fell apart.
my immediate interpretation says that my coworkers are asses, but i'm really not feeling any real stress at work lately. at least not in comparison to a few months ago, and any stress i have has little to do with my coworkers. the only real stress i'm feeling now is my class, and that's really just because i've got so much reading to do (for me) in such a short time with so few chances to improve if i really screw up. my mid-term is in a freaking week, and my final is at the end of the month. was i this stressed for the other 6-week class i took? either way, that sort of stress doesn't really fit into the events of my dreams.
and why pizza hut? i haven't dreamt about pizza hut in ages, and the only stress dreams i ever had about the place was about me fucking up really stupid things. and why several nights in a row? and why vary the details slightly? why?!
