Oh, goddess. . . Uhh, Takanari realizes that Shuri has a very special way of viewing things, so he isn't stupid. Takanari is very sure that he isn't stupid, but it really looks like that sometimes. He tries to give Shuri the benefit of the doubt in his being annoying, to the point where Takanari thought Shuri had a lot in common with how Takanari was before. . . Until he got so fed up with Shuri that he had to discredit that entirely. (I was not that bad! I couldn't have been-No, no. I definitely wasn't.) In the end, Takanari is willing to let Shuri be Konatsu's project as he intended to in the beginning, especially after he did manage to hurt Takanari's feelings. Takanari doesn't dislike or think Shuri is particularly bad as he doesn't give weight to his opinions like that, but he just prefers to not deal with especially troublesome things unless he chooses to! And Shuri is not even close to his realm of important things that he would choose to do that for. So, he can run around doing whatever he likes as long as it doesn't come back
( ... )
It was actually completely unintentional! Shuri was saying how it's alright to share things like that with people who aren't his friends and Takanari thought he was actually. . . Being friendly with him. Friends is a personal issue of Takanari, so it was the first time he thought they might be when he was apparently in the wrong. He walked it off fine though.
...well, that also has to do with Shuri being special and having blacklisted Takanari off of his mental friendslist on principle more than anything. Talking with Takanari did actually help him a lot :x
Takanari wouldn't mind talking with him as he only really breaches on hate if you touch his important people, so as long as Shuri behaves around Haine, then he's safe. Takanari is rather easy-going with people bothering and pestering him as he is used to it and being annoyed at everyone, so it's nothing for him to just rankle at someone a bit. :|b He just isn't actively going to help Shuri, because he doesn't invest that much important in him. . . And Takanari doesn't really believe he's in the best position to advise others as much as Shuri needs.
Takanari on Shuri :x
