-I've followed VK since it was first being scanlated online into English years ago. I had slowly been losing interest with all the drama and then dropped it like a rock after the big reveal about Yuuki as being too ridiculously over the top even for me. I THINK I DID SEE IT COMING . . . and then got smacked with SUPRAISE incest! . . . ha ha no I'm kidding it's NOT INCEST and I was like, okay, I'm out. I checked in on it once in a blue moon and eventually came to tolerate VK for the dramaliciousness, keep with it because of the characters, and love it best when it's silly and cute. OH WELL. It's not like anyone thought I had good taste after apping CLAMP twice anyway. :'D

-. . . fff that's an essay. ALRIGHT BARE BASICS keeping it just to their romantic relationship and shoving out anything remotely related to Zero. There’s no simple way to answer this because it’s not something Yuuki has an easy answer for. SHE IS CONFUSED. How she views herself, how she views Kaname, and how she views their relationship together keeps changing. They’ve been together a year and Yuuki still can’t quite believe it. She loves him, she always has, and no one could possibly convince her that she isn’t going to continue loving him for the rest of eternity. However! She is INCREDIBLY insecure about their relationship. She was satisfied with it being unrequited. Denying those feelings, accepting that they would never match each other, and choosing to see him as her untouchable savior was much much easier for her. Then Kaname went and ruined that. Since they’ve been together he has revealed himself as her brother, as a manipulator, a murderer, and as someone who has deep depths of loneliness. She accepted all that, took it in,

PART TWO: Okay, at home it wasn’t a big deal because she didn’t talk to people! She was hidden away and the people she did talk to already knew and accepted it. She’s already out as a Pureblood and as Kaname’s sister and fiancée and has no need to make any explanations. At camp it’s different and it’s AWKWAAAAAARD. She doesn’t want anyone to make any judgments about something that’s so personal and private. It’s between Kaname and her and no one else has any right to comment. So she doesn’t really bring up their relationship unless someone else does and even then she tries to move the conversation along as quickly as possible. She’s not exactly ashamed of the incest but it’s still not even something that she herself has completely accepted. What if they don’t understand? What if they think we’re perverts? I DON’T WANT ANYONE TO THINK KANAME IS A PERVERT BECAUSE OF ME!! So far everyone has been pretty amazingly non-reactive at everything she’s thrown at them to an almost unsettling degree so she’s sloooooowly becoming more comfortable
