[LJ2ME] Eye (Candy) Bags
Considering that the last one I bought some months ago remains unused in the paper carrier I brought it home with should have answered the question of whether I should have bought another Freitag the other day. Well, I did, not that I had to. As they say, do you want it or do you need it?
Anyway, with dontlikeyou in tow as accomplice and partner in crime, we parted with dear cash for some random piece of recycled truck tarpaulin. I'm not sure whether I'm to blame him or he's to blame me for our extravagance. But that said, I stand firm that mine wasn't an impulse buy. It helped that our minds were made with some help from the eye candy shop assistant that was on duty.
I rue the day I first set my eyes on the bags and had my consciousness awakened to this green movement bag, all constructed out of recycled materials (and how cute are the founders?). After I bought my first one, there was no going back and I was baited, hook, line and sinker.
I've never been a sucker for brands, so perhaps it was precisely the cult association and following of this brand that attracted me. Where none save for the cognoscenti would know what you're carrying. Well, I'm satisfied with this for now. Till I can afford an Hermes Birkin or a Bottega Veneta cabat...
