While the aspect of a hunk with the healthy glow of exercise and with a glistening sheen of perspiration may induce weak-knees in the best of us, it's altogether a different matter when the visual allure is marred by an accompanying pong that turns the stomach. Though you'd get weak knees too albeit for another reason.
For the good part of the evening, my family has been close to nauseated for the repulsive and repellent odour emanating and emitted from the laundry of the flat below ours.
It's not the first time that we've been exposed to this chemical warfare exercise, but this singular episode takes the cake for being of a malevolent quality that would wilt flowers in the wake of a skunk's trail.
The closest I can come to finding a parallel and corresponding smell would be akin to how the bunk reeks after an entire platoon of soldiers return from a day outfield under the hot sun and wet and smelly uniforms are quickly stripped off and strewn all over articles of furniture to dry.
Bleargh! Perhaps I should play the good Samaritan and leave a sample bottle of Dettol and a short note at their gate...
