Cruelly, it turned out to be premature.
When I received the chain SMS last evening reporting Mother Teresa's canonization, my heart swelled and my eyes lit up. However, I found it odd that I'd heard nothing leading up to the big day. Upon reaching home, a check of the official site realised my doubt.
As much as I want it to be true and have been waiting for it over the past 10 years, I don't think the occasion is upon us yet. And I'd love to be proven wrong here. All that's needed is another one of those to seal the deal. As Whitney and Mariah sang, "There can be miracles, when you believe..."
It waits to be saint seen... Literally...
