Ever since Dad negotiated (poorly, might I add) the usage of the car with Bro, family outings have been scarce and far between since deprivation of our primary means of transport was a handicap indeed.
Anyway, Mum wanted to hit the stores today and Dad suprisingly volunteered to go along, him and shopping being not quite acquainted. I'm working in the afternoon, so got roped in and that makes three. Here we are, on the train, on the way to town, and I realise why we don't do this on a more regular basis, especially with Dad along for the ride.
Despite our 26 year relationship, we seem to be as different as could be, and the gap just widens with time. The basic requirements of what constitutes a family are in place, but asking for more would be a stretch. Besides, if it is male bonding you want, look to the papers. The hubbies of murderer and victim up the stakes on that enough...
