Technically, yes! He was my first Boss, and helped lead my people in my Revolution against England!

Most of what we do is our own decisions and feelings, yeah, but we're also influenced by how our citizens are! The unrest got really bad once I went to live with the colonies.

I... I wouldn't call us friends, really! It's not.. I mean.. he's still annoying and tries to boss me around, and occasionally tries to guilt me for the whole war and everything but.. at least he's become decent support since then!

But.. you're right.. things have changed a lot since then!

If I still followed by dad's rules, I wouldn't have been able to make friends with anyone..

Maybe your dad was trying to protect you...I mean you had to be a little nation at some point right? Even if you were strong..Someone could have taken advantage of you.

It's a parent's job to take care of their child!

No, he was! I was a lot younger during my revolution than I am now! Even though he wasn't there when I lived with England and the whole thing with Jamestown started.

He was a way better dad than England, even if he was technically my brother back then. England just kind of sent me to live by myself once he became interested in what the land that would become my home offered and only came to visit occasionally!

Father Washington did an awesome job in helping me get started as my own nation! He was really nice despite being an awesome soldier and smiled at me and stuff! England never does that!

Yeah, he really is quite a jerk. Totally jealous of me and everything, too!

Technically I have a few other 'fathers' who helped form my government and all, but Washington was the first one so he's a bit more important!
