He's up on deck 3, hanging out by the pool. Serious as recent events have been, Joe's shoulder has been giving him hell since the Halloween Party. It's on the mend, but not quite as healed as he would

[Joe kinda wants to ask her how she's really doing, but he'd rather ask Mikaela that to her face.]

Aye, I'll be splashin' around for a while more. Come on over whenever.

[A few indeed. It only takes her a few minutes to get a suit on and grab a towel and head up. She only gets turned around a few times, and she's avoided the elevators as a whole these days.]

Joe?

[An arm appears over the side of the pool, effectively punching the air above his head.]

Over 'ere, lass.

[Joe lets his hand drop and resumes leaning against the side of the pool and letting his legs float.]

[She heads over and drops her towel on a nearby chair, then moves to sit on the ledge and let her legs dangle in.]

[When she sits, Joe shifts from the pool side and moves to face her, keeping a meter or so between them. His feet can touch the bottom, but he lets his hands lazily tread through the water. Joe shoots her a smile.]

Yer lookin' lovely as usual. Comin' in or what?

[It's Mikaela in a swimsuit. Joe can't not ogle.]

[She chuckles and slides on in, not bothering to go completely under just yet.]

Waters nice...feels pretty good.

[Dammit Mikaela. Joe catches himself staring (not at her face) and glances to the side, clearing his throat as he does so.]

S'good ain't it?

[It's cheating. It really is cheating what she's doing there, even if she's not trying to do anything.]

I been here fer a while now. Came to do some laps but people kept stoppin' by so I've been messin' around and playin' more than anything.

[...Heh. She's good at getting looks. He gets a vaguely amused smile.]

It really is. [She leans against the side, kicking her legs out in front of her briefly.]

I like doing laps. Sometimes clears my mind. But you're right, 's hard to do with people stopping by.

[Joe nods and smirks when she smiles, shifting to let himself drift into deeper water. He doesn't take his eyes off her.]

Normally I'd take to a punchin' bag meself, but I've got a little niggle in m'shoulder that swimmin' tends to help fix.

[Punching bags are AMAZING therapy. She can testify to this.]

Really? How'd you manage that? Sleep on it funny?

[She dips her head back a little to let the water snake through her hair until it cools her whole head, and upon pulling her head up she twists her hair and lets it hang over her shoulder. Aaah, swimming.]

[Joe shakes his head and waits for her to get her hair where she wants it. Swimming is awesome, ain't it?]

Old boxin' injury. I fought quite a bit when I was younger. The ah..

[He scratches his neck.]

Halloween party was enough to make the joint flare up. S'been givin' me hell since.

Oh, ouch. Bet that's hella painful.

[She makes a face at the mention of the cardinals, then shakes her head.]
