[Too stubborn to stay in his room for the whole of his sudden sickness, Joe is sitting in the hall. He didn't make it far from his room before fatigue and breathing difficulty made him slump against the wall. He's not going anywhere any time soon.
The comm feed starts mid way through a rather horrible sounding cough. There's a groan, and then a

She also doesn't bother verbally responding to Joe. Instead, she just snags a couple water bottles and maybe some other sickness-related items and heads his way.]

'kaela.
[He kinda sounds like he's been eating glass. His attention remains on her face for a bit before he glances down to the bottles she's brought. Joe tries for a laugh but it quickly dissolves into a coughing fit. He sounds like hell and feels a lot worse. Joe groans.]

We need to get you back in your room.
[Her voice is quiet, but tense. She's worried about him, and she presses a hand gently to his forehead to check his temperature.]

[Her hand on his forehead is a welcome thing. He's got himself a fever.]
Haven't seen you for a while.
[Even with the sickness, he's still able to give her a slightly concerned look.]

[Her hands are cold, too - it makes his forehead feel like it's on fire.]
Been busy.
[Not totally a lie. She doesn't think this is a good time to discuss herself. No time is, really. Shes just counting days and praying every night it's her that disappears next.]
Can you stand?

Won't know until I try.
[Joe starts to move and stops.]
'might need some help.

I won't let you fall. I promise.

I trust ya.
[Generally his pride wouldn't let him accept help like this, but right now Joe can't bring himself to care. Between Mikaela and the wall, Joe manages to stand.]

Always got a joke, huh?
[Still, her smile strengthens a little, and she looks down, ready to move when he is.]

[Longer strings of words, it seems, are his downfall. Joe coughs again and makes a frustrated sound. This is really getting old fast. He scowls and motions forward, keeping as much of his weight off her as he can manage.]
Let's go.
[And he's starting forward. It's a slow pace, but one he'll steadily build up as they go. Provided he gets a break every now and then, the progress should be pretty good. Joe gives her shoulder a gentle squeeze.]
Thanks fer this.

Okay. Just tell me when you need to stop.
[She'll give him any breaks he needs at all, and hopefully before long they'll be fumbling back into one of their rooms.]
Course. Wouldn't leave you on your own, that wouldn't be very nice of me, would it?

Ta tu mear.
[It's Irish he's speaking, the basic translation being 'you're a darling'.]
M'glad yer here. [Joe moves in silence for a bit, not even registering when Mikaela's room comes into view. He frowns a bit, deep in thought and then...] Missed ya.

Missed you, too.
[Her voice is quiet as they slow, and when they finally stop, her free hand fishes her keycard out of her pocket in order to let them in. She knows she's been kind of...MIA for almost two weeks.]
Almost there.

I'll remember that.
[If he keeps his sentences short, he's okay. Kinda.]
Can I steal a sip o'water?
