[ Very slight pause. He's mustering up all available powers to ensure that he's still putting some genuine friendliness into his serious tone. Not to mention taking time to filter this kind of talk from his daughter- she doesn't need to hear him going on about this. (entry is also written as he goes, and Elicia has action-in privileges as ever) ]

Solid advice, Maes. Hopefully people will listen to it, because it seems like very few have real military training...

Tell me about it. Pulling so many of them in could just do more damage in the long run.

We have to hope that giving them advice and asking other draftees to take care of them is enough to save a few lives. [ Except that it's a few and that's not enough. ]

If the malnosso would just listen to reason, we wouldn't have to live with that much.

I don't understand what they're possibly thinking doing this. Even if some of these kids have superpowers, I'm not sure they could handle the rigors of combat.

I just don't understand why the Malnosso are putting them at such risk when the soldiers we've got that have proven they can do this. It's a distraction on top of being a farce, and it's one we don't need and can't afford.

They'll send out anybody they can to get the job done, prepared or not. [ And not to say he's bitter over the affair, but. ]

After all, any losses we experience due to this aren't more than a few lost lab rats to them.
