get up on this.

ALRIGHT, I CAVE. But I made it five months, so there. Also, Takanari hit 20k, Eureka hit 1k, etc. Naturally, this is for Takanari, Kino, Akito, Ys/Yuca, and Eureka, so here goes:

~QUESTION / RELATIONSHIP MEME~*
* In that, you ask questions, and I may return some if I can put together two thoughts for it.

orz I should probably essay about this sometime, but I am lazy.

The short version of this goes something like... Neji feels very left out. Or felt. He's not entirely sure how he feels about it since Itachi's left him, and Raikou just moved in with him like the day before he deaged, so it's sort of in a state of flux. He doesn't know Raikou left Raph yet, either. Last year at this time, he kind of had this feeling like the three of them were in a treehouse that he wasn't allowed in or something, and it was very difficult for him. He got jealous. He got insecure. Then he caught Raph and Itachi in a compromising position, and... it did not go well. In the end, he felt like Itachi was only still with him out of sentimentality and respect for the length of time they were together. A lot of this year has just been slow fallout from that in one way or another. And he still feels very outside of their drama. For the most part, Itachi keeps Neji and Raphael/Raikou stuff effectively segregated, and Neji doesn't push that very hard, for the most part.

Nooooow... He still doesn't like it. In particular, he's not fond of Raphael, and doesn't really know why Raikou put up with him. He doesn't know Raphael well, but his impression of them when they've interacted hasn't been too favorable--he pretty much thinks Raph is the most self-absorbed person he's ever met. Even when he tries to be nice, he just has to make everything all about himself, from Neji's perspective. He doesn't understand the appeal at all.

That said, he actually thinks a lot of Raph's friends don't treat him fairly by not expecting more change from him. Neji himself tends to thrive under expectations, which probably informs that opinion, but he can't shake the feeling that things might have gone better if people actually expected Raph to act like a responsible adult who can learn to respect boundaries and be expected to be reliable, instead of constantly seeming to indulge his backsliding and tantrums and neediness. (THIS IS NOT AN UNBIASED OPINION AND MAY CHANGE ONCE HE'S AND ADULT AND UPDATED ON SITUATIONS.)

I'm not sure if that actually makes sense. Neji has a lot of ~feelings~ on the matter, and they're not always logical or well organized.

Which of your characters has the most relationship drama?

N-Neji . . .

Oh, gosh, well . . . Akito would be the easy answer! She has Shigure, she was interested in George, and did want to own Momiji in a bad way. But Akito is always drama, even outside of a relationship. Takanari definitely takes the cake though! He has Haine and Shizumasa, then he had strange relations with, uhhh, Konatsu, Nii, Raphael, and some other people . . . He'd like to make the hell out with Ruka, too. Frankly, Takanari is very selfish, but he's also good at understanding when not to push his limits. Still, he tends to have the most complications with relationships out of everyone.

Is Hatter going into a lull after all the fun of kill week? Or does h/she have something in mind for the coming month?

Hatter is technically not supposed to be killing right now. Which is why, if asked, Hatter will explain that no one was killed. They were left for dead! Or one killed himself. (And that one was hir favorite.)

Which is why I'm tentatively planning some killing for January, once Hatter's kill-ban is lifted. I'm still working out exactly what I want, but hopefully I'll have a real idea by the time the new year rolls around.

For December, Hatter's mostly planning on laying low and shamelessly taking advantage of mistletoe posts.

Which of your characters are most game for torture?

Hahahaha. ♥

Ah, Ys has an incredibly high tolerance for it. I'm always inviting people to try to come up with something that he hasn't been through or forced someone else through before. I give cookies to anyone who can even get him to register pain. ♥ As for the rest, I would say Akito and Takanari are decent. I've been wanting to do something with Akito, but I lean more towards mindfuckery with her . . . And she's the type to not play well with torture, because she'll kill herself to keep someone else from having the pleasure of doing it themselves. As for Takanari . . . He's a puppy, but he's also very quirky and is likely super fun to torture, I bet. I mean, he was put through ten years of it as a kid, so he knows how to handle himself around the type to play those kinds of games! He has had a few close brushes with Bad Ends, but he's managed to bounce back so far, so it'd be interesting to see which straw finally breaks the camel's back.

. . . What are you thinking?

My original thought was something along the lines of what Grelle did in October--give Hatter a little serial killer moment. But the killings would be more Hatter's style than Grelle's. That's still a fall back, but as I think about it, I think Hatter would rather make more of a game or a production out of things. The maze was fun, but maybe next time, xe could do better?

I haven't had any specific inspiration for how to handle that, though.

(It occurs to me that it's probably a good thing Hatter doesn't know about CFUW in camp.)

...Ideas? XD

I've always wanted something done with games of chance. Where there really is no control on who will live and who won't, who will win and who won't, etc. Sit everyone down with a fun round of Russian roulette. ♥

The other option is something where people must fight against each other for survival, like a card is hidden and whoever has it after a certain amount of time lives . . . And the other dies. But you have to get people who won't play hero and be good sports about the whole ordeal, so there can be a lot of backstabbing and finding who has it and who doesn't.

I'd say bother Hakuren or AJ with any ideas you have after pinning down how many people you want to involve and all that. I would really enjoy seeing Hatter put together his own game within camp, for sure.

Gosh, I miss my psychopaths. What were some of your favorite camp plots?

Hatter would enjoy both of those a lot. I thought of having people fight for survival, but I haven't quite worked out a way I'd want to handle it. Like you said, it's less fun if people start making heroic sacrifices and such. Russian Roulette... it seems like there should be an idea in that. :)a

I'm not entirely sure which I'd call my favorites. I ended up liking the card post last spring more than I expected. Hatter picked a fight with Temeraire. That's fun!

Reverse.

The one back in September with the mother was great fun with Akito! And Sekirei was always a blast.

What's up with Ion lately?

Reply

tsunthuselah November 30 2010, 00:56:42 UTC
Ion is ...okay. He's doing well with his friends, for the most part, but he's still a little awkward with Radu. He blames himself for a lot of what happened to him, and wishes he could bring him home with them TERRIBLY. He's not one of my primaries (at the moment, everyone else seems to be a primary), but he manages to keep up some relationships at least, so that's good.

I'll probably try to get him out and doing more next month.

Which of your characters comes most naturally to you?

Ummm . . . Takanari! I don't really need to stop and think too much with him. Akito is a little quicker for me, but it always takes me a bit to figure out how to word his replies . . . Which is the same problem he has, so I blame Akito. So, it's divided between those two. Really, I can't maintain a character that I can't shoot out a reply for in less than thirty seconds.

Most unusual and rewarding camp relationship any (or all) that your characters have?

Reply

screwfate November 30 2010, 01:15:36 UTC
That's hard to say. Neji and Itachi are the obvious answer, especially with how long they were together and how unexpected the relationship was at first. No joke, I expected Neji to hate Itachi, especially because of how they met, but they somehow hit it off really quick. But it's camp, and there are a lot of relationships like that.

For more recent relationships, Ion's friendship with Luffy surprised me and is surprisingly rewarding for all that it's a silly, easy to play friendship. Neji and Toboe, or Neji and Toothless. None of Hatter's relationships are surprising or unusual for Hatter, I think, and Okita... I think I'll know with him in a couple more months, but so far, his relationship with Parker has been sort of unusual and fun. I never know when they're going to hate each other.

Do any of your characters have crushes they're not acting on?
