That's basically it. Okay, I was jk, not really. They are very tsundere together, and Hattori is convinced that his jealousy involving Kazuha is actually because she's his little minion and he doesn't like people taking away his minion. Yep. They've been friends since childhood (just like Ran and Shinichi! And Aoko and Kaito! omg SHOCKER) and bonded over bondage. No. I'm not taking that back. EVER. They've shown some serious love though between the two. Hanging off the edge of a cliff, Kazuha decided to STAB HATTORI'S HAND so he'll let go and thus Hattori would not have to die. However, Hattori would not have it and held on to her hand, even as he bled, because he didn't want to lose her. That was basically the most romantic damn thing I have seen in my entire life.

Seriously, they've got matching nicknames, Detective of the East, Detective of the West, if that's not bromance then I don't know what is. Maybe finishing each others sentences and coming to the same conclusion at the same time ALL. THE. TIME. Is? Plus, Kazuha getting jealous over how much attention Kudo is getting, to the point of thinking Kudo must be some girl just has to tell it for you. Bromance. And they're totally like saving each other all the time. Hattori has dressed up as Shinichi to help him quite a few times in order to help him in the past. And he likes sneaking up on Conan and scaring the shit out of him, which is the funniest shit known to mankind. Also, I have never seen Conan grin so big as the time when he snuck up behind HATTORI and covered his eyes, thus getting thrown about 4 feet with shock, but it was SO cute. And then that one time where they were getting all excited about hearing that the other was there and bursting in all happy to see the bff and not seeing him and so when they see each other finally, they're all awkwardly acting like: Oh whatevs. It's you. Big deal.

Head canon, Hattori does admire Ran. She's strong, she's smart, he can see why Kudo likes her. But naaaaah, just cause she's all that doesn't mean he wants to like, get her in bed or something. She's just cool! As Kudo's babe she also gets some major props in general, cause if Kudo likes her, then she's gotta be awesome. So yeah, if he thought she was in danger and Kudo wasn't around to deal with it, he'd totes help her out, I mean, common.
