[Bryn's a party pooper without even realizing it, taking away Sean's opportunity to troll her like so many others before. Baww.
Still, Sean's words to cause Bryn to hesitate before answering. She can't help but muse on all of the hypothetical pretty girls before her, or probably after her. Of course Bryn thinks herself rather plain and not in the same category.]
...I don't think it's quite like that. Do you cook as well? Or do you have other skills instead?
[Not one to miss a beat, he notes the pause but chooses not to antagonize the girl he's only just met. The smugness is evident in his voice, though; he likes to talk about his skills.]
Ah, here an' there, this an' that. The kitchen is his forte.
[Her curiosity and interest is unfeigned as she questions him further. He might be Joe's twin but Bryn doesn't want to see him as some sort of copy or clone.]
Oh, how interesting. I'm afraid I don't know much about that sort of thing...
[She pauses a moment, clearly thinking this time. Sean might catch that she's trying to sound as modest as possible when she speaks with a bit of a self-deprecating laugh to her voice.]
As for me, well, I play piano, I'm a halfway decent cook now...and I'm also a shapeshifter.
I haven't seen any so far but I can keep an eye out for you, if you'd like.

[It's not like there's really anything she needs at this point.]
I'm Bryn, though. Your brother's been teaching me to cook for a while now. I was really glad to hear that you'd been brought here.
