Abarai Renji; They're best friends in canon and now he's finally arrived. They've only talked a little, but Rukia's wondering how she's going to tell him about Ichigo and herself. She almost doesn't want to, but she doesn't want Renji to find out on his own. She fears that somehow it will hurt her best friend.
During the time of the heart snatching, Rukia and Renji met up to explore and see if they could search for any information. During that time, Rukia suggested that they should split up to cover more ground and to meet back in an hour. On her way back to meet with Renji, was she killed (got her heart taken). When she was revived, she asked Renji to forgive her and thanked him for waiting for her. He told her that what she did was stupid, but he was stupid enough to go along with it, so he blames himself as well. And that waiting for her was something he needed to do. She's glad he's in Salkia, knowing what happened to him in Huceo Mundo. They both appreciate their friendship a lot more since it's like before they joined the shinigami academy. Usually the two would have no time to talk to each other, caught up in missions and paper work. But now they feel they can talk and see each more often and for that, Rukia's glad.
But now recent development have caused a strain on their friendship. Moments of their past and mentioning of a treaty between the shinigami and Espada. Renji revealed that he and Ishida were almost killed by the Espada, not to mention he reminded her that Ichigo was killed by Szayel. Not going along with her plan, Renji walked away from her... it was the opposite of what happened before but it hurts so much more. But now they've talked things out and their relationship as friends was restored.
Ishida Uyruu; Even though he has a dislike for the shinigami race, he and Rukia have worked beside each other. She knows him because he's Ichigo's friend but also because he's a Quincy. Considering their backgrounds, they're able to get along and fight together. She also respects him because he assisted in her rescue from her execution. Since then, the two have been in contact, especially more than usual with the reoccurring threats.
Inoue Orihime; Rukia never had a female best friend until she met Ichigo's friend, Orihime. The two are close (but still distant because well, no one really beats Renji) and Rukia is willing and has risked her life for the girl.
Szayel Aporro Granz; Even though Rukia did not know of this Espada, she knew that she would want kill him the next chance she got. But in a place where death is null, there's not much she can do. What drives her intent to kill? The Espada killed Ichigo. As much as she would like to run the male through, she can't.
Rukia still wanted to carry out Ichigo's idea of having a peace treaty between any enemies that arrived in Salkia. But because of Ichigo's rash, but justified decision to fight Szayel, Rukia knew the attempt would be pretty much useless, but she tried anyway. He agreed to meet with the shinigami. Just as she thought, he refused the offer, but something unexpected happened. He kissed her in order to feed off her soul. Not getting to far in the action, Rukia pushed Szayel away and swore he would pay would touching her.
And she was able to do so.
Usagi wound up switching powers with Rukia. Because of this, Szayel and Rukia both reverted to being human and alive. But unlike Szayel, Rukia had "special powers" to transform into Eternal Sailor Moon. The two met again and a conversation and a small fight occurred. In the end, Rukia used Sailor Moon's Silver Moon Crystal Power Kiss on Szayel, healing him of all impurities and bad attitude.
Grimmjow Jeagerjaques; No one really appreciates the attempt of having their head blown off and the Espada tried to do that to Rukia. When Ichigo left the island, he informed her of Grimmjow's defeat and in returning to the fight in Hueco Mundo for a little bit, she came to know Ichigo was right considering she had asked him what went on. But in Salkia, Grimmjow approached Rukia during the time she lost Ichigo by way of the island. Obviously, she was in no state to talk and/or argue with him, so she ignored him.
SALKIA
Hyuuga Neji; Rukia didn’t know Neji until she found out that he sparred a lot with Ichigo. Since then, the two share a close connection. She’s helped him out of a few jams, reminding him that he’s not alone while he’s done the same for her. Their friendship is more definitely a healthy one and she would fight alongside with him if need be. He was there for her during the times Ichigo and Rukia would fight.
She asked him to be a moderator of Ichigo and Rukia’s sparring match and he agreed. When Hollow Ichigo decided to make an appeared, Neji attempted to defend both himself and her which only turned into a failed attempt. She protected him in the end, but still, she feels because of her, both of their lives could have been lost.
After the fight, Neji healed her and she was thankful for it. It was the first time she allowed herself to get closer to Neji both emotionally and physically. He’s a good friend and his closeness reminds her of Renji sometimes and she finds herself thinking of her best friend back home when she sees the ninja. She also became closer to him, spending their time together taking care of Ichigo when he turned into a child.
Neji’s death put her beside herself but also strengthened her resolution. She refuses to let any more of her friends die, even if she has to put her life on the line. Since then, she's been thinking what Neji means to her and what she means to him. He seems... different and she's trying to put a finger on it.
The ninjas happens to be there when Rukia needs him, even if she doesn't ask her for help. Whenever Ichigo isn't there for her, he is. And a good example would be during the time of both Ichigo and Rukia's death. Rukia was revived before Ichigo and Rukia wondered where the male was. Neji informed her that Ichigo had died while she was still unconscious and she broke down. She was upset for not being there for Ichigo based on her own foolishness that she got killed, and Neji supported her as she cried. She knew that Neji is a irreplaceable friend.
But now, the two have bumped heads in the worst possible way. Rukia pushed away his help in order to protect him, but he took it personally. Because of this, Neji pushed Rukia away futher than she imagined and now she believes they're not friends. She wanted to do something about it but the way Neji shut her down, she feels it's near impossible to reverse the damaged caused.
Since then, Neji confronted Rukia and apologize for his actions. During that time, Rukia was breaking off relationships with people in order to set out what she planned to do, not having the weight of friendships holding her down. He asked to forgive her and if they would be okay. Her only answer was that she needed time to think and she would give him an answer when she returned.
Lelouch vi Britannia; Lelouch happened to reach out to Rukia during the time of breaking off her friendship with Ichigo. The talk eased her suffering a bit and she was thankful to talk to him. Also Lelouch has been around for Rukia to ask questions (like what is 'Secret Santa') and she's been grateful.
Lelouch always happens to show up when Rukia has a lot on her mind. In breaking off relationships with people, he reached out to her saying that he would offer his assistance to her. She refused, saying this was something she needed to handle alone. She requested that Lelouch wait until she returned to talk things out more and he complied, knowing the girl was going to go after Szayel.
Kairi; She met Kairi by being roommates with her. Rukia thinks she's a nice girl, despite how little their actions are. In a way, Kairi reminds Rukia of Orihime with worrying and being helpful. Rukia thinks more of her now, the girl helping her cook for Ichigo's Christmas present. She felt they've gotten a little closer while having fun.
Himawari Kunogi; The girls have shared a couple of conversations and she also knows her through Ichigo. They work together, but don’t see each other too often. With the new year, the two hope to talk more and become closer.
Kaiba Seto; She aligned herself with him when he was leading a group of people to get off the island. Since then, she’s talked to him once or twice, thinking he’s unreasonable for accepting his brother’s good wishes. With the way he carries himself, it reminds her of her own brother, but still have a lot of differences between them.
Now they live together and it's been nothing less than interesting.
Vexen; The conversation these two shared was interesting: hearts and magic. Vexen is a sole believer in magic while Rukia is convinced that magic is something that only appears in manga (go figure) but would be pretty awesome to have in real life. Vexen tells her that everyone has magic in some way or form and Rukia doesn’t believe him. She doesn’t believe her kido to be magic, considering she doesn’t get a transformation or a cut scene of any kind.
Rukia took the time to question him about Szayel, but the male refused to answer any defining questions. She may have her eye on Vexen, knowing he'll be in contact with the Espada.
Cissnei; Rukia usually keeps in contact with the girl when the island has a threat or some sort. Outside of these, the two usually don’t talk. Rukia is thankful to Cissnei for healing her when she was injured after her fight with Ichigo and Hollow Ichigo. Every now and then the two check in on each other, usually to pass off information.
Ichijouji Ken; Ken was Ichigo’s roommate which made him Rukia’s roommate too when she lived in Ichigo’s closet. During that time, they didn’t talk and Rukia thought it was best that way. But she reached out to Ken when he seemed to be going through a tough situation. She was glad she could help him, in a way repaying him back for letting her stay in their apartment.
