Asura is a Voter

Nov 11, 2009 01:51

[After much self-deliberation soon after his fight at the police station, Asura had decide to vote for Milkman, based on the assumption that he was the one currently in power and the here-and-now took priority. His wounds from the fight aggravated him; he possessed some powers, but still had several mortal limitations, such as stamina and the sort. Though he was infuriated at being unable to successfully thwart the assault on Grady to garner some support from the man, that was dispelled once the bizarre, misshapen, and twisted gears in his head began churning.]

The violent behavior of the drones increased towards nearly everyone but me.

Why?

[He looked down on the drones--quite literally, as he found flying above them to be far easier than dealing with the ones stupid enough to assault him--and watched their behavior. Some still futilely attempted to attack him, but for the most part, they were concentrating on people leaving his house after voting. Nearly all the people who left sported a strange emblem declaring they had voted, which Asura had not earned. As more and more people left, he noticed the drones seeming to target the people with the emblems.]

Why, why?

Hmm. People afraid of the change and wanting things to revert would have voted for the Mayor. Would most people think this way? Ignorant, seeing as this is all likely a game, but...

Why would I be the only one to not get a sticker? Assuming everyone else voted differently, then...the sticker represents a vote for the Mayor while those lacking stickers but still having voted had voted for the Milkman.

Hmm.

[He floated upside down, legs crossed, and palms flat together; his face was, as usual, encased by his scarves. The rain didn't bother him a bit: no rain was heavy enough to bother him--well, his clothes getting damp was a bit annoying, but they were made from his own skin for the most part, so they shed water well--and his automatic near-immortality healing would have negated any acid rain, anyways. He simply floated and thought.]

The Milkman is still in control. He is controlling the drones, having them assault dissenters. But why have the voting in the first place? Perhaps to draw out the dissenters?

It happened so, so soon after the assault on the police station, so they must be related, so doing this to simply draw out dissenters seems unlikely. Still possible, though.

A-Ah! S-So much thinking! S-So much unknown--the unknown, it's d-dan...

You know. You must know. You are...

Ah! Yes, yes, yes, yes. The announcement made by the police chief along with this...

It's a vying for power! Disorganization, conflict, disruption, panic, violence--fear, fear, fear, fear, fear. All spawned from fear.

[The clouds crackle and a bolt of lightning falls down. In a flash, Asura withdraws Vajra and deflects the thunderbolt, sending it into a tree with a shattering explosion. With a grin, Asura watches the tree burn.]

They are, they are, they are they are defeatable. They are no Gods. Accumulate power, manipulate the sides, and they will fall. If they possess fear, they...They have no chance! It is so, so simple! No one with fear can defeat me. I am Kishin, I AM FEAR. Those with fear shall fall to the power of madness!

Kyeenyeeyahayaha.

[The scarves covering his face crack open and he rolls through the air around the burning tree, holding onto his gut while he laughs.]

KNYEEHAAAHEEHEE!
