Well, I don't know why, but lj wasn't working at school the last month, so I don't know when I'll be able to post again. Vacation in california's been awsome, especially with all the sunshing up until a couple days ago. I somehow made it through the most hellish month of my life between thanksgiving and christmas, and I get to find out my grades when I fly back tomorrow (oh joy). I would make some predictions, but the last two weeks have succeeded in completely blanking all memories of the past, to the point where I'm actually optimistic about my chances next semester (fat chance). But this has been the best winter break since, well, ever. I've been busy, having something to do with just a couple of lull days, which can be nice too.
I went down to San Diego with two of my cousins for the three days before new years up through new years day. And what a trip. My cousin skyler had to work most days, so jeremy and I kept ourselves occupied looking around the city, the beach, and the zoo, which was more fun than I expected. I don't t hate southern california any more...at the least, I recognize the good with the bad. Everything in SD was so damned great. It was kinda crazy...Skyler had one of those yearbook-type picture pages on his wall of everyone in his fraternity. I was looking at it, and suddenly one of the pictures popped out. As it turns out, somehow I recognized this guy from either 2nd or 6th grade in paso. He was a couple years above me, but I either remember him from 2nd grade GATE or track in 6th. Anyway, I met him at this big new year's party and it turned out to be true. Crazy that I recognized him. Anyways, my opinion on frat/sorority parties changed too. They can have quite a lot of class, if they want to. It was an amazing party, even if it was crowded. And the facebook is finally starting to come in really handy, looking up those people you only know by first name from one night. In any case, this new years has finally broken the chain of abominable new years experiences. In a big way. I think i'm somewhere ahead of the game now. Ok, 3 am, jackass. This stream of conciousness shit really doesn't work as well here as it does on term papers.
