Well, here I am in Illinois. I actually should have said that we are right next to St. Louis. We are technically on Scott Air Force Base. Its been a really good couple of days. The drive down was crap, but thats alright because we made it here ok. The entire way down it was foggy like you wouldnt believe and then literally 100 miles from our destination, the fog just suddenly disappeared. It was actually quite weird. So we made it, and Wills grandpa and grandma came down too and we did our Christmas and I got some awesome things. I got an army nutcracker! I was so excited! (For those of you who dont know, I collect nutcrackers lol) Zach got it for me. I also got the first piece (the church) of my Christmas village. Its beautiful. I got that from dad. I also got Hairspray the movie. I love that movie. I got all kinds of stuff! It was a lot of fun. We did lots of baking, cooking, watching movies, relaxing. Went to church and that was nice. Went to eat at a Cracker Barrel's. Never been to one of those. It was pretty darn good, I liked my loaded baked potato. Num-yummy. Anyway, yesterday was kinda yucky. I wasnt feeling too hott. I slept most of the day. But I'm better now cause the doc called my perscription in for me down here. Today we went to the St. Louis arch. It was really something. I was the only one brave enough to travel the long journey up the arch and peer out the tiny windows at the top. It was crazy. You have to get in this little like bubble with 5 seats in it. And I mean youre crammed in this thing. The door to get in is less then 4 feet tall and its just crazy. I couldnt believe it. I took a whole shit ton of pics so when I get them developed I will post some on here. So I got to the top and you have to lean out onto the wall (its slanted outward) and look out these itty bitty windows and your all crowded into this curved room (obviously its curved cause your at the top of the arch) and I got sick to my stomach lol. And Im not scared of heights! But I didnt lose my cookies or anything but man was it a trip. I had a lot of fun. Lots of pics. We came home and mom, dad, Will and I played Euker (cant spell that...). Tomorrow we are going to go see the new Clint Eastwood movie and just spend the day exploring and touring the Base. Will and I are leaving here the morning of the 2nd and will be going to see his Grandma in lower Michigan. Yay fun!
On a softer note... its been nice to get away for a couple days, not worry or care about anything at all. Ive had a lot of things happening lately (both mentally and physically) and I really needed to get my head clear. I honestly dont know what the hell will happen when I get home but its nice knowing that I have these next couple days to not really care. So, I hope you all have a wonderful New Years! Good look in 2009 and I will talk to yall soon!
