Most children are not produced out of the fruition of love. Most children are created out of the parent's need for power. A child is utterly helpless, and is under the total mercy of the parent. In modern society, it is a norm to be cruel to a child and call it love, call it, its for your own good. When the child grows up, parents feels empty and

When Jesus says to his disciples, "deny your father and mother!" He meant, to undo the conditioning by parents, for the nature of this conditioning is out of an unconscious vicious cycle of power play. There is no angst in his statement, but merely a simple fact.
My parents, fortunately, are not like that. They gave me the space, to be myself and accept me without much judgement. It is merely a wake-up call to all, that the so-called "self" as you know now, is merely an inheritance of madness. Your suffocation, has a lot to do with the realization that the egoic "you", is not really you, but is imprisoning you.
A part of this egoic sense of "you", is the collective societal conditioning, which parents are largely responsible in passing it on to generations. Understanding the source of this madness, is the beginning of freedom.
