I'm going to re-post the blurb that a very cool cat composed for my humble poetic pamphlet....and now, here's Tony-

In "Caterwaul From Below," Steve O'Connor seeks to find the cosmic in the mundane - finding inspiration and insight in random encounters with friends, homeless people, barroom nights, baseball games, and interactions with future and former lovers. His work fuses simply observed details of such daily events with philosophical insight into the workings of the world, the hunt for inspiration (see especially "Chasing The Muse"), and the unrelenting desire for connection to something larger. In this collection, O'Connor recounts the opening steps of a lifelong journey toward that connection, and invites the reader along. I invite you, as well, to join him on the journey.

About Tony Brown

A veteran of both page and stage in the poetry world, Tony Brown has been publishing and reading his work in journals and on stages around the US for over thirty years. His work has appeared in anthologies (including A Generation Defining Itself, from MPW Press; 100 Poets Against the War, from Salt Publishing (UK); From Page To Stage, The Wordsmith Press; and Look, Up In the Sky! and Appleseeds, both from Sacred Fools Press) and journals (Riverwalk Journal, The November Third Club, Breath And Shadow, Home Planet News, and World Literature Today). Nominated for three Pushcart Prizes to date, he is also the author of twelve chapbooks and two CDs of his work, the latter with his music and poetry project, Duende. He is a regular columnist for gotpoetry.com and runs a reading series in Providence, RI.
