Jon, the list, the evol internet and Heroes
So, I've started taping the Daily Show (although I think we're a couple of days behind in the UK). Jon Stewart has LONG been on my list* (the silver fox!) but now he's moved into the top five. The Daily Show Global Edition is the funniest thing ever. When is/was Thanksgiving b the w? I'm lost with American holidays. Like the idea of "High Holidays". Is this like "Bank Holidays" in the UK? Y'all get a day off or something?
Anyway, that's off topic. So, after trying to get Big Bang Theory for 2 days, turns out the version I was downloaded is not AVI format so my TV won't work with it. So now I have to spend another 2 days downloading another version. THIS IS UNFAIR. Why can't I just watch friggin CBS?!?!
I sound a bit like Charlie Brooker with all this ranting. THANK GOD for Charlie. His latest Screen Wipe was really masterful. Think Jon Stewart but a TV satirist who really does say everything on his mind. I particularly liked all the Russell Brand/Jonathan Ross stuff. I couldn't have agreed more with everything he said. The wanking credits were a gem.
Anyway, the Heroes episode was on UK TV where Elle puts lightning bolts on Sylar and basically STRIPS HIS CLOTHES OFF! Was this pulled out of the mind of a gushing fan girl OR WHAT? And Hiro became 10 years old (which he frankly already was). Heroes has lost it. It's official. I feel a rant coming on.
