Mark Gatiss in Saturday Kitchen on BBC One - Blue velvet suit, Quatermass beard, this should have been a recipie for hawtness but I was strangely unmoved. I resolved to go out and feed the ducks with my six nephews and neices. Fun was had. Then Top Gear, the HGV "truckers" episode challenge - the best thing they've done since their trip across the USA with dead animals strapped to the fender. Top Gear rules SO hard. I laffed. The car falling out of the trailer with Hammond not even noticing! Jeremy's Rig setting on fire!!! Crashing into a brick wall! The Hamster protecting Oliver by forefitting a task! The show doesn't get any better than that.
The return of... wait for it... NPH Quest!!! - our lovely
wolfgrin shared some VO stuff. Firstly The Simpsons - Neil plays Bart in a movie about him. A few seconds but amusing.
But the next thing was far more amusing. The cartoon Captain Planet and the Planeteers, Neil plays a character called Todd Andrews in an episode called A Formula for Hate. It's a kind of OTT PC story about a high school basketball player who is HIV+. Yes, seriously. The Planeteers are mixed race heroes with weirdly odd super powers who go around spouting new age twaddle.
The dialogue is crazy, really crazy. But the show is noteworthy in two respects.
1. It has Whoopie Goldberg. I always imagine Neil giving her that big hug on The View (a sort USA loose women) now.
2. The immortal line said to Todd Andrew's character... "You heard the people. SUIT UP!" He he he he he. Yes really. Yes, REALLY. Rewatch it.
I feel I can go to bed now.
HIMYM tomorrow. Eeeeeeeeeeeeek!
