I'm pissed off that the family of the Brazillian man shot dead by London police is going to sue the police. It was a tragic terrible incident, but the day after several attempted suicide bombings, a guy acting suspicious ignores challenges by armed police who showed ID. He trys to run into the underground, he jumps the turnstiles, and when challenged again ignores police, he then trys to run ON to a subway train, and when the police try to restrain him he starts struggling.
So whats an officer to do, either shoot and possibly save hundreds of lives, or say oops, do you mind terribly telling me if you're a suicide bomber or not? Meanwhile it he had of been one it would of been ample time to detonate himself.
If he HAD of turned out to be a suicide bomber and kiilled a load of people, the police would now be under criticism that they failed to stop him. It was tragic that the guy was killed, but they thought he was about to detonate himself, and didn't have any other choice.
For those being critical of their actions, I haven't heard what THEY would of done, or what the police should of done instead.
