Spirit 003 [Video]

Jul 06, 2011 21:25

So let me get this straight. We can scare off those stupid half-ass shadow stalkers with a piece of broken coral? A stupid piece of coral trumps my spirit energy? Is this some kind of joke? Because I'm not laughing.

Is there anything else I should be aware of? Does making scary faces scare the bastards off too?

[...]Do you think if I threw Hajime ( Read more... )

fucking coral, !izaya, this is bullshit, real friends make fun of each other, this is for you hajime, confused, a dimwit for life

You seem to be forgetting that the coral is the source of so much of the power in this place, while most peoples' powers have been diminished.

Though maybe a scary face carved into a piece of coral would be effective.

[Kanaya took a moment before this to listen to their side conversation, and their references to Hajime and lipstick seem familiar.]

...Do you mean Hajime Tounomine by any chance?

That coral has half my freakin' energy as it is! What more does it need? [He was considered rather powerful in his world.]

Yes that's who I mean. Who else would it be?

I thought the coral gave energy to people who touch it... you mean it's taken some of yours instead?

I don't know, there are a lot of people here, there's always a chance that there is more than one Hajime. How exactly would he serve as a projectile weapon?

It gives energy? Since when? [He's never touched it, but that wouldn't restore his original strength anyway.]

Easy. I just throw him. He doesn't weigh that much.

Yes, if you touch it, it rejuvenates. I spent my first few days here without sleep, simply touching it periodically to stay healthy, if that gives you an idea of what I mean.

Well. I guess that's one way, but he wouldn't exactly be an effective projectile. People are a little too unpredictable in the air. Better something smaller and more condensed, don't you think?

I'll have to try that sometime.

They're not that unpredictable. I sent Toguro a good hundred miles back with just a punch.

I'm a little surprised no one mentioned it to you sooner. I guess it helps that one of my friends doesn't like to sleep, period, so he made sure to mention it to me...

So this is something you've done before? Have you actually practiced and measured your ability to treat acquaintances as long distance weaponry?

Yeah well word doesn't really get around here.

I have no idea what you just blabbered about. I just punched him.

True enough. It's surprisingly difficult to learn about this place, even with that information booth in the plaza.

...You're saying that you simply punched him and he flew through the air for a few hundred miles. Are we using that term for the same distance? Because that sounds like a nonsensical distance.

We have one of those? [Oh the irony.]

That's what I said, I don't know how far down to the last foot. It would have been farther if he didn't hit all those trees on the way.

[Oh. This poor boy. There must be so much he doesn't know.] How long have you been here, exactly? It may be a fairly new addition.

There are some words which don't mean the same thing on my world as they do in human worlds, so just because you said mile doesn't mean it means the same thing. Aren't miles a substantial distance, enough that it takes several minutes to simply run a mile?

Since April I think? I can't remember. [He's already left and come back once since his arrival here.]

Tch. If you don't believe me, whatever. I'd show you myself but I'm pretty sure there isn't a volunteer dumb enough who wants to smack into the barrier and break something.

Those pamphlets and that sign have been here at least since my arrival in May. I guess you just don't spend much time exploring the plaza.

It's mostly just that you're human, and humans aren't as strong as trolls for the most part. I don't think Equius could throw anyone that far, and he is very strong. I might even say that he's extremely strong.

I'm not one for walks in the park- plaza. Whatever!

Maybe in your world, but mines a little different.

You seem to be getting rather defensive. There's no need to, I'm just providing my knowledge of the situation and expression some confusion.

I'm not defensive.
