It could be sweet.

I played my first full band show in quite some time this past Sunday night. Despite tremendous nerve-wracking on my part, I got up there, did my thing and rocked the fuckin' house (in a chilled out folky way, that is) along with some new friends of mine; Murray (also on guitar), Ryan (saxaphone), and Mark (drums). It went amazingly. We played jam- ( Read more... )

1. You're one of the best, most reliable people I have met my whole life.

2. I challenge you not to listen to any rap or hip-hop music for a day. Just 'cause I'm a jackass. :)

3. Purple. Maybe it's your display pic (ironic considering it's A Clockwork Orange), maybe it's that Rage t-shirt I gave you ages ago, but yeah.

4. Well, what I said in #1 for starters, but also 'cause you're so easy to talk to. And about cool, meaningful things to boot.

5. So many memories. Obviously things like the Roots concert back in grade 10 and all those awesome parties but also the chill times like hanging out with you and Sean at my place watching movies and drawing people, haha...

6. I'm very sorry -- this is not the first time I've seen this question in one of these "memes" but I've completely given up on trying because it's such bullshit. Wait! I got it! Wilma the Little Pig! Haha, score.

7. Have you ever come close to just giving up on your long distance relationship?

to answer your question...not really. there have been times where it was tough to be apart, but i never really wanted to give up. in the beginning it seemed easier to give up but now it's like...well, pretty serious. teehee.

also, purple is totally my favourite colour. AND SO MANY GOOD MEMORIES.

1. I don't know you very well but you vaguely seem like a more cynical version of myself. Je'n sais pas.

2. I challenge you to profess your love for your most hated fellow Broken Telephone member. Haha, just for kicks.

3. Not sure. Dark red, maybe? You've got a red-like personality to you plus the sweater of the South Park kid in your display pic. Ha...

4. You voice your opinions very well. I seriously respect this. I can barely ever bring myself to write down something I'm thinking about or have an opinion on and you've written some great LJ posts (as far as they go) just talking about things. I dunno. I actually read them.

5. Uhhh, memories? There's been some pretty funny moments on B.T., I guess, heh... :)

6. As you can see with just about anyone else, I'm not even trying with this question.

7. What were some of the first bands you ever started listening to as a kid?

ha! Cynical is a good way of stating my personality. I don't think I hate anyone on BT though.
The got my first walkman when I was five, my first albums were Michael Jackson's Thriller, Bad, and Dangerous. I didn't really get into music until around 5th grade though, the first album I bought with my own money was either Mellon Collie, or the Batman Forever soundtrack (which really isn't all that bad, surprisingly).

Hahaha, awesome. Yeah, I really started to get into music at around the same time. Smashing Pumpkins was definitely among the first, along with No Doubt (Tragic Kingdom), Green Day (Nimrod), Nirvana, and most surprisingly, Prodigy (Fat Of The Land). My mom has told me though that I used to really like Pink Floyd when I was REALLY little. Apparently, the song "Echoes" has always been one of my favourites -- I used to ask her to play the "ping song". *ping!*

1. You're a very odd character to me. We used to be pretty good friends then sort of became familiars. It's too bad.

2. I challenge you to record some more awesome/hilarious music like the thing you did for Writer's Craft ages ago. Haha, so good.

3. Green. 'Not sure why, though.

4. You're very smart. Sometimes I don't think you give yourself credit for that.

5. A few, actually. Definitely our random walk through town which wrapped up with that kinda-amusing, kinda-awkward Night Of Sirens thing at the Renaissance. Also the time you were there when Kevo got hit and I talked to you for awhile that night (thanks, by the way, it helped a lot at the time). Also the time you were playing with the ketchup and it burst all over you. :)

6. Haha, sorry, hardly anyone here is going to get an animal. You can be any animal you like!

7. How do you really feel about leaving so many things behind for Montreal?

I don't actually feel like I'm leaving many things behind.

I wish we'd stayed friends. Okay, this is going to be weird and (hopefully) paranoid, but for some reason ever since grade 11 I think, I consistantly got the strong vibe from you that you thought I was 'fake' (for the lack of a better word). I don't know why, but ever since I've felt very intimidated by you. So yeah.

Yow. That would be paranoia. There was definitely a certain distance since around then (grade 11 or sometime) but it was so weird 'cause it feels like our friendship went through waves. One week, we'd be getting along fine then it would be kind of nothing. I dunno, I always found it kind of odd and I can't explain it. It's funny you say that though -- there were definitely instances where, in ways, I was intimidated by you. It was more of an issue of me not knowing whether you wanted to talk sometimes -- quite often, it seemed like you were unhappy and sort of disinterested in being social. I'm sure I'm wayyyyyyyyy off but to be perfectly honest, I'm a lot more socially insecure than most people might believe.

1. I BEAT YOU IN HALO ONCE. I DID. IT WAS AWESOME. I THINK IT ABOUT IT ALLLLL THE TIME. EVEN AT THE CLIMAX. YEAHHHH.

2. I challenge you to draw a really pretty lady (or handsome man) -- not one of those ones who slept with their in-law and has a heroin problem.

3. It should be blue (you have blues, you often wear blue jeans and that blue shirt of yours) but it'll have to be orange. It is the opposite colour, yes, but that's a pretty honest answer.

4. You're going to be the next Edward Gorey. The Edward Gorey who also made weird music with his weird friends and is Canadian. Power, brother.

5. That time when it was winter and you were bitching when we got in the door from outside and I hit you with my toy dinosaur and then you started to cry and then I laughed profusely for the next 3 hours. Well, I'm not about that last part but that's what I'd do now.

6. A naked mole rat.

7. If there was any instrument you could play amazingly, what would it be?
