Summer summer summer; it's gonna be a bummer.
A hot one. A dull one. And again.
I'm going to miss all of you. Um. Yeah.
God, I'm starting to feel guilty posting music because it feels like such bullshit. But seriously, Nick Drake was the true soundtrack to last summer at my cottage (along with, most notably, Sufjan Stevens and Apostle Of Hustle). In fact, soon, I'll make a summer mix CD for all you guys. It'll be hotter than it was yesterday in Toronto.
Here's Nick.

Nick Drake - Black Eyed Dog Romeo Heart
Waiting in circles, night finally falls
Bodiless, I pass through to the outside
While saying goodnight to cream-coloured walls
It's midnight breeze with whom I can confide
Standing in place, the wind washes over
And slippers protect me from any harm
Smoke and the air compell me to lower
But I imagine your breath oh so warm
Our nights finally begin to grow thin
Which is to say we could see it coming
But you are still there from dark until dim
While I wait for your praise, sweet but cunning
This feeling of loss will start it anew
With my hand on my heart, I swing towards you
P.S. If anyone cares, I put a new [old] song up on my loser-y
