Stressssss. Last Thursday was really my Friday and today was an extension of the weekend. I need it. Or at least I'm going to for what's up ahead.
Tonight. Tonight was randomly attending a beatboxing workshop. It was at someone's house downtown and completely worth it. For all you Little Tikes, I think M and Click could also agree it was pretty hype. I'm starting to like this Uprising deal -- I already got some pass to "da club" which I have yet to take advantage of. The guys are known as the Outspoken Wordsmiths (aka The Beat Boxing Pirates) and I really respect their dedication and sincerety in which they take their music. Their ideal is similar to mine -- no longer forming ambitions but creating for the sake of creation and self-fulfillment. They also do a lot of spoken word. Yeah, it sounds as "hippie" as they in fact were but it was off the hook and I had fun. Respect, yo.
Anyway, I got some samples below of recording stuff they've done. I also decided to upload something else for you guys. As you may or may not know, I spent this past summer up at my cottage outside of Huntsville. The two months ranged drastically in my activities. Different family members would come and stay for small amounts of time then disappear and sometimes I'd be on my own playing guitar on the point and dancing around to Folkloric Feel while other times when people were around, I'd be sitting in my room listening to music I had bought from the indie CD store in town (a 15 km bike ride) and reading. So one day when my grampa and his wife, Janet, were up visiting, I took his digital camera and her laptop and made a movie. I was bored and I did it in a day and just did it to show one of the sort of days I would have primarily alone at my cottage. The title is a joke, by the way. One time experience, indeed, but amazing nevertheless.
