My poem

Still perusing this new issue, but so far I also really like
The Mermaid's Winter Song by Brittany Warman

I also played with KoolAid on Sunday. Did some stovetop and then some sun-style, in bags outside. I got all excited and did some up and then realized that it was overcast, that I had known this, that though it had been sunny and scorching the past two weeks or so there was no sun NOW.
Luckily, it did come out a bit later, as I'd hoped, and the dye took just fine. Here's the whole batch, drying:
I did the same green on three different natural tones of roving, which I think I'll spin up together, with some white, too:
The peach and orange are what I did in Ziploc bags.
I now need to go buy some more KoolAid, because those two colors were supposed to deepen the reds I have, I just didn't feel like doing red. ><
I ran to the Dollar Store to get blue since I wasn't really sure about the green, and I realized I'd put in too much wool for a deep color. Would you believe they only had the red and purple kind? UNBELIEVABLE you'd think most people were drinking it instead of needing it for coloring or something.
