I know I'm in a serious introversion deficit when I pass up food to knit while songs blare in my headphones...
Today there were 7 people in the *working* side of the store. Whenever anyone had to move their work somewhere else, everyone was kind of in musical chairs, though there were enough people in and out no one was actually sitting for long. But 10+1/2 hours is a long time to be unmoored, for me. I like to have a My Place, even if it's the worst spot in the place....
I got a lot of writing done on my phone, on something I want to get well-started before Christmas.
But man. If I'm trading getting to work extra days at Christmas (since there's a new lady taking over my job, she's getting the extra work) for not having that kind of exhaustion...maybe it's worth it.
If it had been just us three ladies and the two jewelers it would have been a little hectic. But Archboss was in and out, Boss-Wife was hanging out most of the midday, Son of Boss came in after school... and a lot of people coming in were there to visit with Mr. Boss. Taking up a chair, or passage-way space...
And I didn't bring any knitting.
