List of Shame
My winter project is now basically moot.
For some weird reason, the instant I found out early February was the traditional beginning of spring in Japan, I have felt that this was true.
SO!
It will have to be my Spring/2011 project?
I have this problem: I read books I get out from the library and never read the ones I've bought. This is part of the reason I only buy books that I've read and love--the flip side of why I don't read the other kind is that my exception is classics I feel would be awesome, or the kind of very famous books that seem like new classics.*
I did a thing a while ago to do battle with my TBR Pile, found under the "Book Shoubu!" tags, but I want to do even better this time.
So I'm starting--soon I'll photograph this shelf of things I haven't read, but first just a List of Shame:
The Book Thief
Rob Roy
City of Beasts
Zorro
Kokoro
The Artist's Way
Ariosto
The Faerie Queen
L'Morte D'Arthur
Erewhon
Sword at Sunset
No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency
I don't want to actually read all of these all the way through, but I want to at least find out enough about them to know which are which...and some of them I've started pretty well and just got distracted.
*I also have this problem, to an extent, with books I've been lent. I need to stoppit.
