Oh, you are so sweet to say so!

Haha. Usually I like my voice just fine but there was a mysterious BILLION-TRILLION strangers at the coffee house last night, and the adrenaline of nerves made me warble like some tiny but pushy bird. I am not used to being that nervous when singing.

:sigh:

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaw. Usually I do not notice I am shaking until the end of the song and bowing or walking offstage. It also depends on, you know, what I was singing at the time. SOKAY THOUGH, YOU WILL GET BETTER AT IT.

also your pitch is very precise, and I love it. :-D

I must be out of practice with performing! Because that's what I'm used to, as well.

Maybe it was all the strangers, and hardly anyone familiar, on top of that. And then that it was just me and my brother, instead of a solo in a choir, or our family act.

Or the fact that it's all these young well-combed college/high school students, and it's harder for them to be enthused about originals (though we did a Sarah McLachlan cover).

Know what I wanna change in case there's a next time (which, considering the fearsome turnout in a small-town cafe, I think there will be!) and hopefully it will be more familiar strangers.

BLEH. Also, my dad and not my mom was there, so when I was doing my usual postmortem he was adding suggestions when I really needed a few reassurances. >_

Very cool song. Love the guitar riffs.

Must admit. I love songs about trains...

Pretty, right?

As happens with a lot of our songs, my brother was playing this beautiful thing he was making up and I was like "Hold that! I mean, KEEP PLAYING" and ran for paper and a pen and came up with the lyric.

And as soon as I wrote the words I sent it to my mom and another friend who love trains, because I am enamoured with travel (as my poetry shows. A lot.), and love trains enough to understand the passion...
