It's that time already?
I didn't post this before I went to work today, because I wasn't sure what I wanted to say. So I held off and thought it over. And thought it over some more. And...yeah.
I realized that I honestly, truly don't have the words to say, so I'll just say the first things that come to mind.
Around 10 years ago, azewewish came into my life. At first it was a casual friendship. Then it developed into a much deeper one. We've written together and lived together. We've partied together and roadtripped together. We've laughed and cried and fought together.
This past year was hard, and I'm not going to lie. I had to be there for her when the world fell apart, and you know what? I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Because she'd do it for me. Because that's what friends do.
Brenda, you are one of the funniest, smartest, most loyal people I know. And 10 years ago, a film about a hobbit and a ring brought you into my life. The #1 thing on my bucket list, just so you know, is to meet Peter Jackson and thank him for making that film and casting that cast because if he hadn't, I'd have never met you.
I will forever be grateful for that. I love you, cricket. Happy birthday.
