By this time tomorrow, I should (hopefully) be in a walking boot and done with this cast business. Though I think my doctor is just evil enough to opt for the walking cast instead. Either way, I have a sneaking suspicion that walking again is going to hurt, so I'm sort of not looking forward to it.
I actually managed to get a fic written this week and (with help) beaten into shape. And shockingly enough, the editing wasn't as painful as I expected it to be. Maybe because I've got a pretty good idea already of who these guys are? Hmm. Whatever. It'll be up soon, and then I can stress out about people liking it or hating it and then move on to tackle other things. Like the BDS idea that's been bouncing around in my head the last few days.
Had a lovely dinner last night with
moonmelody and
technosage. The food was yummy (even though I felt as if I'd eaten a whole cow afterwards) and the company even more so. Though I think Allie & I might've traumatized Jess a little bit with our discussion of RPing, good vs. bad as opposed to order vs. chaos as opposed to light vs. shadow and Chad as Loki. What, you know he'd totally be perfect as the Trickster God.
In NFL news, I can't say I'm surprised that
Cam Cameron is now out of a job. Once Bill Parcells took over as VP, I knew it was a matter of time before Cam was ousted, but really. He had to expect it after going 1-15 this year.
And in other randomness (which this post has been all about, yo), the HP peeps on my flist might be interested in
this post if you haven't seen it already.
ETA: In another of his wide-ranging news conferences, renaissance coach Mike Holmgren quoted Shakespeare in one answer and then perfectly belittled quarterback Matt Hasselbeck’s short-lived mustache by likening it to the cheesy lip fuzz worn by fictional detective Boston Blackie.
You have NO idea how hard I'm giggling right now. *g*
