Reason # 32 I like Madison
Got into town last night, took the dog for a walk. After the walk it was too late to pick up a bike tire (there will be a bicycle based post coming up soon as I have been a busy boy with the wrench), so I rode over to the east side of town where there is a late staying open sort of coffee house named Escape. I figured I would pop in, read, knit, and that'd be swell. When I arrived I saw some other folks working on their knitting. I got some tea and noted that this was a Stitch n Bitch group doing their weekly get together so I asked if I could jump into the circle, and of course they did and I spent a happy couple hours knitting and chatting with ladies young and older, and one guy working on a shield for one of those foam weapon battle type games (I assume). It was very sociable and nice.
I also had a nice chat with another cyclist on the way there, about, naturally, bikes. He had a new Trek, I had and old Trek... ya know.
