Perhaps I should write more in my CWP portfolio than what I have been doing on here!
What am I doing? procrastinateing, yet agian, at 1:00 in the morning. What a shame!
Question:
Do any of you guys know anything about Asians?
Okay, here's why I'm so frustrated. Recent Conversation:
(looking at a camas STAFF picture with a "friend")
(i've written this conversation as close to how it really was, if not exact)
ME: hey! is that an asian girl! [pointing at tiny face in photo]
FRIEND: Yeah, that's Janel
ME: Where is she from?
FRIEND: She's from Renton. Here's another Asian girl, her name is Marie. There are three in here.
ME: She looks Korean, that Janel girl.
FRIEND: Oh. Yeah, yeah she's Korean not Asian.
ME:........WHAT?!
Does anyone get what I'm saying?
How many times do I have to come accross people who think Asian is the name of a different race along with Japanese, Korean and Chinese?
I don't understand! Bah! Small town wickedness!
Get me out of here quick!
Take me back to Seattle where I can socialize with other Asians!
Ohh I miss seeing another Asian.
But it's been so long that when I do see one once and awhile at the college, I just get quiet and feel really weird.
When did those days go when I had friends of almost every race?
Such limitation in culture and diversity we have here in L-town.
Mostly, all the diversity we have is Hispanics, Whites...Hispanics....................... Whites...a few Asians... a few african americans...........................Hispanics.
I think I grew last night. like 2 cm.
