Title: Classified I - Dawn
Pairing: Jungkook/Jimin
Genre: Romance
Rating: PG-13
Summary: A trilogy about falling in love. The beginning.
Most of the time, Jungkook finds himself being in places or situations that he knows are not suitable for an 18 year old. He thinks of it as one of his powers. The power to attract unwanted situations. He doesn't know what the reason is that he ends up in them more often than not, but he suspects that his best friend Taehyung has a lot to do with it.
Taehyung's talent is acting older than he is, which gets Jungkook into both situations and establishments not suitable for teenage boys. Another thing that Taehyung has, is the ability to get them out of trouble once they get into it. Jungkook however looks young for his age. He knows this without anyone having to tell him. The bouncers at the clubs they visit always give him sceptical looks when they arrive and he's always certain that they will get rejected at the door.
But Taehyung is very good at what he does.
They've been best friends for years. Back in middle school, Taehyung used to pull pranks on their teacher and blame it on Jungkook, which never ended very well. Jungkook was the definition of a perfect student back then. Somehow the pranks and the blaming turned into a very long, adventureous friendship. He doesn't really know why or how.
When they were 16, Taehyung got them both drunk. It was Jungkook's birthday and apparently in his best friend's mind they should celebrate it with alcohol and a night on the town. Long story short, Jungkook got so drunk he threw up in a busstop and his mom had to come get him.
He was grounded for three months.
When he finally got his freedom back, Taehyung thought they should celebrate it with some drinks.
It took some time for Jungkook so find the various adventures and wrong doings alright, but now he's used to them. He even enjoys them most of the time. Taehyung had somewhat turned him into a similar minded soul. They both now had their fair share of horrible ideas, on a regular basis.
Tonight is like a lot of other Saturday evenings. Jungkook and Taehyung is standing in line outside a club they've been to before. The bouncer working this night is one that has seen them maybe twice before, but Jungkook is still as nervous as ever. It doesn't really matter if he knows everything will be fine, he still gets that anxious tickle in the pit of his stomach. Excitement and fear, when you know you're doing something forbidden.
Taehyung looks relaxed and is chatting casually to a couple of girls behind them. They are laughing at his jokes and Jungkook knows very well that they must be a lot older than they look. Mid-twenties perhaps. Not that it seems to be bothering Taehyung the slightest. Jungkook knows that Taehyung is drawn to older women. He on the other hand doesn't really get it.
Maybe because Jungkook isn't that into women.
He won't really call himself into men either.
To be honest he doesn't really know what he prefers. He's never had much interaction with either in an intimate way. He's attracted to men more than women visually, that he knows. But Jungkook just feels like he doesn't want to put a label on himself until he's tried everything.
Taehyung usually just says he sounds even more gay when he says stuff like that.
"This is a friend of mine." He hears beside him and looks up, thoughts shattering and disappearing in an instant. "His name's Jungkook."
He intends to smile politely at the two women that now has their eyes on him, but it just turns into this weird sort of crunched up expression. He knows it without having to see it in a mirror. "Nice to meet you."
"You look a lot younger than 23." One of them says, her voice sounding almost astonished. "I would take you for a teenager."
Jungkook gets nervous and fiddles with his own fingers. "Well, I.. Uhm, I.."
"He gets that all the time." Taehyung butts in and laughs. "He's so shy and innocent even I wonder sometimes and we work together!"
The girls laugh and he lets out a nervous chuckle.
Jungkook goes back to his thoughts as the line moves forward.
He's never been much of a talker. Especially to women. It's not that they scare him or make him nervous. Not usually. He just doesn't really like them. Not the kind of women you find at places like these anyway. They are usually pushy and too close. They ask questions and put their hands on you and want things that Jungkook doesn't really want himself.
Taehyung is the only reason why he silently accept their presence. Because Taehyung adores women and everything about them.
Which makes sense since they are both young and unexperienced in a lot of things people would call adult stuff. Though Jungkook is pretty certain Taehyung is more experienced than he is.
It's the first Saturday since summer vacation started. Jungkook graduated high school with almost perfect grades, while Taehyung managed to scrape together enough to make it. Now they have two long months of freedom before college started. Two months of adventures, parties and according to Taehyung, hooking up.
He decided weeks ago to just take the summer as it came and enjoy every single minute of it before the terrifying start of school again. He's been looking over his new school already, ever since he knew where he was going. Taehyung is especially interested in arts and has high hopes of making it as a musician one day. Jungkook's plan is a bit less spotlight and a bit more collected. He's going to study English, he knows that much. Everything between the language and english literature. Taehyung says it sounds boring, but Jongkook has always been a fan of reading.
He notices they're next in line when Taehyung nudges him with his elbow and gives him a blinding smile. He returns the smile with a grin of his own. Before the bouncer even opens his mouth, Taehyung greets him like you would an old friend. Jungkook knows they're in the second he sees a spark of recognition in the man's eyes. He's also absolutely certain that the guy knows they are way too young to be there. But, as he said before, Taehyung knows what he's doing.
They're early but the club is vibrant and packed with people. His best friend gives him an excited grin as they wander into the thundering music, pressing their way through bodies. Jungkook feels drunk from the loud bass alone, enough so that he knows drinking won't go too far.
After standing by the bar for a good five to ten minutes, they get their drinks and head over to a corner of the club that is less crowded. Taehyung is scanning the dancefloor, but Jungkook's thoughts are drifting off to other places again. He's not as into checking people out as his friend is.
"Her." Taehyung leans over and says loudly in his ear as he points. He follows the gesture and looks confused. "The one with the ripped jeans and black tank top."
Jungkook sees her after a while, notices how she is grinning from ear to ear with a couple of other girls on the side of the dancefloor, dancing. She has long, wavy hair and a slim waist. Instead of high heels she's jumping around in ankle high Dr. Marten's boots. Jongkook chuckles.
"Go for it." He finally says back and raises his brows daringly. "I bet she'll eat you alive."
Taehyung's grin widens and he sends him a suggestive wink. "I sure hope so."
Before he leaves, Jungkook rolls his eyes and gives his shoulder a playful shove. Then he's left alone in the corner as his friend goes off to work his magic.
This happens a lot when they're out, not that he gets upset about it. One of the reasons they go out is to let Taehyung run free around the girls and let out all of that built up sexual need that he seems to mainly consist of. Jungkook doesn't mind standing by himself with his drink. To be honest he quite enjoys watching the whole spectacle unfold.
So he stands there and watches Taehyung dance his way into the circle of girls, sees the first confused and slightly uncomfortable looks of them before they eventually accept him. Jungkook isn't surprised that they do. So he just watches them for a long while, sipping his drink slowly and feeling the music vibrate on his skin.
Almost half an hour later he walks over to the bar to ask for a refill, not long after he sees his best friend kissing the girl he pointed out earlier. Jungkook has no idea how he does it and he isn't one to ask. He assumes it's just one of his friend's charms.
Another hour pass by in a hurry. Taehyung has managed to pull away from his intense lip-lock to come get him and take him over to the girl's table at the other end. Jungkook happily agrees, thinking that it would be nice to sit down for a while.
They're a party of four, six if you include him and his best friend, and they're all smiles and giggles. Taehyung looks like he's in heaven while Jungkook casually sips his drink.
One of the girls that calls herself Lisa is particularly interested in him from the moment he sits down. She doesn't seem interested in the way that the other girls are in his friend, but rather just in a friendly way. It makes him feel a lot more comfortable.
"You and him seem to be way too different to actually be friends." She leans over and says into his ear, laughing. Jungkook can't hold back an amused smile. "You're just so calm and he's just so..."
"Not?" Jungkook finishes and she grins with a nod. He shrugs. "We've known each other for years, I guess we're too used to one another to find more suitable people to hang out with."
The comment makes her laugh more and Jungkook actually decides that this night isn't all that bad. Not that he thought it was to begin with, but it was actually better than he expected. Especially since someone for once seemed to be more interested in casual conversation than to run their hands up and down his thighs.
"I know we just met," She leans over and says into his ear again. "but we're heading over to an afterparty at our friend's place in a while, you guys should come."
Jungkook glances at Taehyung who's just leaning over to kiss someone. He turns his eyes back to Lisa. "If your friend is okay with it, sure. I bet that guy wouldn't mind one bit."
He nods towards his best friend that is still locking lips with one girl while his arm is around another one's shoulders. She gives him an amused look.
"Nah, Namjoon is cool. He wouldn't mind." She reassures. "If we brought you he's not even gonna be bothered."
Jungkook nods. "Alright then. Sounds like fun."
** ** **
"I swear!" Taehyung says in the taxi on their way over to the other party. Two of the girls slap him over the arm, clearly not believing him, but he insists. "You girls are by far the coolest I've met."
"You're just saying that." The girl he locked lips with earlier(Jungkook learned that her name was Jisoo before they got out of the club) says loudly with a smirk. Taehyung shakes his head, looking innocent and sincere. It makes her laugh and reach out to drag her hand over his chest. Jungkook watches the gesture in silence, smiling just slightly.
Namjoon apparently lives in an apartment complex not more than ten minutes away from the club. Lisa said they had known each other for a while and that he was a teacher. Jungkook wondered what he taught, but she had a hard time remembering. All she said was that it had something to do with music.
A few minutes later they are getting out of the taxi and into a tall building. Jungkook wonders what kind of people they will actually meet once they reach the place. Sure, he's heard his fair share of Namjoon by now, but wasn't this a party? A party at someone's apartment usually meant people knowing each other prior to getting there. As far as he knows, him and Taehyung were nothing but strangers.
When the door to the apartment flies open, Jungkook isn't really sure how to take in the extent of what is happening on the other side. A tall male with bleached hair is standing there, beer in hand, grinning. His tank top is loose around a lean body, jeans slightly baggy but cut tight around his calves and a backwards cap placed loosely on his head. He sure doesn't look like a teacher. In the background he hears hip-hop playing and voices laughing.
"Lalisa!" He lets out with an excitement that makes the girl laugh. They give each other a big hug. "Glad you could make it, girl. And I see you brought some friends."
Namjoon looks the group over, still smiling and Jungkook finds himself liking the noticable dimples in his cheeks. He's handsome and relaxed, which automatically makes Jungkook feel a bit more calm than moments before.
"Hold up now." He says as he throws an arm around Lisa's shoulders. "Girl, did you bring high schoolers to my party? I knew you liked them young but damn!"
She smacks him over the chest and rolls her eyes. "Shut up! We met them at the club, dumbo. Pretty sure they ID people before they let them in. Besides, jealousy doesn't suit you."
He gives her an amused expression. "And why would I be jealous exactly?"
"Because you look old."
Before he has time to argue she ducks away from his grip and hastily walks into the apartment, disappearing. Namjoon look at her go before he turns back to the rest.
"A meanie, that one." He steps aside and gestures for them to come in. "Welcome, if Lalisa's been as impolite as she usually is, I'm Namjoon. Make yourselves at home folks."
Once they are all inside and have gotten out of jackets and shoes, Taehyung and Jisoo disappear into the bathroom together. Jungkook feels uncomfortable being by himself in a stranger's apartment, but Namjoon doesn't let it last long. As everyone makes their way into the livingroom, Jungkook's hesitation catches his attention.
"Hey, baby face!" He says and walks over, Jongkook frowns. "Want a drink?"
He nods in response and Namjoon smiles again and his dimples are still as nice as the first time he saw them. Jungkook thinks they suit him very well.
"Not much of a talker are you?" He continues as they walk into the kitchen and he pulls out a cider from the fridge. Jungkook takes it with a small smile.
"Thank you.. and not really. Taehyung usually does the talking."
He gets a nod in response. "Is he the one defiling my bathroom with Jisoo right now?"
Jungkook at first thought Namjoon was upset, but he then saw the other wink his way and he let out a laugh. "Yes, that would be him."
It looks like Namjoon is about to say something when a tall male walks into the kitchen and interrupts them. He's also very handsome, with dark har and amazingly warm eyes. Jungkook finds himself staring just a little bit. The male pulls the fridge open and grabs a beer before he turns around to look at Jungkook.
"Hello." He says with one of the sweetest smiles Jungkook has ever been greeted with. "I'm Seokjin."
"Uh.. Hey, nice to meet you. I'm Jungkook." He replies in a haste and it makes Namjoon and Seokjin both quirk their lips upward.
"Grab your drink, baby face, come on." Namjoon then says and throws an arm over his shoulders, Jungkook can't hold back a small laugh. "We're gonna have to introduce you to the rest of them. Though they aren't as nice and good looking as us."
He gets lead into a livingroom that is bright and has a very light atmosphere. He sees that Lalisa is busy chosing a song on the laptop standing by one of the speakers, while another girl from the club, Rosé is sitting in between two unfamiliar faces on the couch. Seokjin sits down on a worn-out armchair. Namjoon drags him closer with his dimple filled grin.
"Guys, this is.. Jungkook was it?" He asks and gives him a look. He just nods.
The two guys he doesn't know looks at him and greets him. His eyes get stuck on one of them. It's the most amazing smile he's seen all night. The man's eyes dissapear into two curved lines when he smiles and his teeth are white behind rosy lips. Jungkook finds himself staring.
"This is my roomate, Hoseok." Namjoon announces towards one of them and Jungkook has to drag his eyes away from one to look at the other. "Rent is easier if you split it."
"God damn, you look like you just finished high school man. Maybe even middle school!" The man says and laughs. Jungkook nervously chuckles.
"I get that a lot." He manages to say without sounding too unsure. Hoseok grins.
"And that guy's Jimin. He's usually the baby face here."
"Hey!" Jimin gets out and makes a face while Namjoon sticks his tongue out teasingly. He then turns to face Jungkook and smiles again. "Nice to meet you."
Jungkook responds by stumbling slightly and ends up spilling some of the cider on himself. "Ah, shit. Nice to see you.. I mean meet you." He gets out and curses himself mentally at how ridiculous he must look.
Jimin laughs. Jungkook is left in awe at the sound. His laugh sounds like a joyful giggle and it just gets all kinds of feelings racing. He's never reacted like this to anyone before. At first he blames the alcohol, after that he shoots the feeling away and sits down on the floor opposite of the couch.
