so. the countdown is getting pretty serious.
England: 6 days
Ireland: 9 days
Italy: 4 months.
and recently i found you can study abroad in Australia and do your student
teaching there because their education systems are pretty much the same
as ours. the school that they would set me up at is the coolest school ever,
with all of these sustainability classes and its built right adjacent to a national
park so everything is crazy-sustainable and environmentally friendly the architecture
is recognized globally and won 25+ awards...maybe howard roark designed them..
waste management, landscaping, solar panels it looks like. so wonderful.
- extensive use of screens, fins, sun shelters and tree plantings to reduce direct sunlight on buildings
- chilled water to supply air-conditioning to buildings, where applicable
- integrated building cooling systems, including atriums, breezeways, louvres,
thermal chimneys and high loft ceilings to allow for the movement of warm
air away from work and teaching spaces - locating buildings to take advantage of prevailing breezes
- using lightweight building fabric and low maintenance materials
gorgeous. close to the beach, tons of sustainability classes, and i'd be teaching art.
i should have gone here in the first place. for not art. oye.
yanno, theres always been the toss up between art and environmental.
maybe i can get my masters in some type of science thing. eh.
