Holy crap,it has been almost two years since my last post.I wonder if anyone even has me on their friend list anymore? Okay well for those of you that do...hi.Its good to be back.What has transpired in the last 23 months.Some notables:
-The Spurs won the 02-03 Championship,I was there,despite being fired from the club earlier in the season for accepting a glass of wine on Valentine's Day,shame on me.
-I made a nice visit to the Beehive State.Nearly three months and it would have been longer had dwindling fundage not gotten in the way,to say nothing of personal matters in my head.
-Discovered that I am a total ham on the microphone as my weekly habit of singing asinine karaoke songs at Main Street will attest to.
-Caught up on my comic reading and have come to terms with the fact I still have 30,000 comic books three and half years after buying 30,000 comic books.
-Went back to Houston last summer to see the Cure in the Woodlands.I hate driving through Magnolia.It just makes me feel ill.On the upside I managed to see the Cure from 10 feet away as I lucked into a pit ticket for less than face value.My concert streak of luck continues!
-Face to Face does their farewell tour in the fall.It manages to skip Texas.Plans to attend either in SLC or LA fall through.
-Vickey and Punk both celebrated their 21st birthday in November 11th.
-I begrudgingly celebrated my 28th,but at least I'm still breathing and there is hope I will actually move out before I turn 30.
-Parents split up for a trial separation that began in November 2004 and ended last week.Welcome home,mom!
-Started off the 2004 concert log with Strung Out and Evergreen Terrace at the White Rabbit in January.Upcoming shows:Nada Surf at SXSW and Nine Inch Nails/The Dresden Dolls at Stubb's,both in Austin.
-Marvel.Legends.Damn you Toy Biz,I am too old for toys! Ooh a giant Sentinel,sign me up!
-Still in love,but I really suck at it.
-Went to work at a beautiful five star steak house downtown.I'm calling my current work stoppage a temporary leave of absence.
-Just helped James move back into the house from his apartment.I am so damn worn out I can't sleep.We did a decent job on the place too.Although the carpet was a lost cause,still bearing scars from 2 1/2 years of partying and neglect.Bye bye deposit.
-The Spurs are once again poised to make a run at the title.Albeit this time around only Tim,Manu,Tony and Bruce are around for it.I miss Malik and those old days at IHOP.However,I don't miss IHOP.
-Started working on a comic book with someone close.Hasn't really gotten off the ground though.
-Heres hoping it isn't another 2 years before my next post.
