My parents came to Asheville today to visit me, and are staying at the Grove Park Inn. This is a "vintage ad" on the floor where they are staying for Grove's Chill Tonic. It makes you fat in case you ever get malaria and are really skinny! And apparently it outsold Coca Cola in the late 1800's. Malaria cures notwithstanding, the Grove Park Inn is amazing. It's a beautiful building, inside and out - you could probably fit a large baby elephant in either of the main fireplaces in the lobby. My parents were staying in a room right down the hall from where the famous pink lady committed suicide and the room she continues to haunt (they were in 555 - she was in 545).
Buss came to see me on Friday night. I wish he could have stayed longer. Eventually I am going to get off my ass and drive to Boone, maybe.
