the odyssey of traveling to RDU airport

A while back, Buss asked me to pick him up from the airport today, because he's been in Wisconsin at his sister's wedding. The flight was supposed to get in a little after 4:30 (Wisconsin --> Chicago --> Raleigh) - he messaged me earlier in the day to say it would be closer to 5:00, which is no problem. Before I left the house, I looked up the flight online, and saw that the ETA was now 5:45. I got to the airport a little after 5:30 and started reading "Blood Done Sign My Name." I don't generally read novels of that sort, but I don't really have a choice in this one, and I like it so far. Anyways, the flight didn't actually land until 6:30. Of course, nobody got off the plane for another fifteen minutes or so. I felt very sorry for Buss, spending more time on the ground than in the air. In any event, I drove him to his house, and all was well with the world once again.

My best friend from elementary and middle school, Annabel Jones, who moved to Florida in middle school got in touch with me. Wow, that was a nice surprise. Turns out we're still fairly similar...it's nice to reconnect with someone after so much time. The same thing happened a couple months ago when one of my best friends from when I was around six or seven looked me up and emailed me just to say hi and see if I still remembered her. Brooke Phillips. She had also moved away (to the east cost of NC). Turns out she's coming back to this area, and she's four months pregnant. WOW.

I miss everyone who's out of town right now. This past week it's been Stephen, Jennifer, Buss, Mike, Andy, Tyler, and Meredith all gone at some point.

And, I've decided that I love The Addams Family movies.

airport, friends
