Let's Go To the Movies...
Time for a themed entry since lately my life has been so boring that I simply have nothing interesting to write about. Well, this theme entry is about movies. The following are some of my favourite movies and a few quotes from each. The way I look at it, a movie becomes a part of this list if I've seen it enough times to include quotes :) Enjoy! Starring: Robin Williams, Robert Sean Leonard, and Ethan Hawke (note there are many more actors, but these are the ones I thought would be the most notable)
Dalton: [answering phone] Welton Academy, hello. Yes he is, hold on. Mr. Nolan, it's for you. It's God. He says we should have girls at Welton.
John Keating: We don't read and write poetry because it's cute. We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race. And the human race is filled with passion. And medicine, law, business, engineering, these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for. To quote from Whitman, "O me! O life!... of the questions of these recurring; of the endless trains of the faithless--of cities filled with the foolish; what good amid these, O me, O life? Answer. Ruth: Momma always said there was a separate God for children.
[Evelyn is cut off in a parking lot.]
Evelyn: Hey! I was waiting for that spot!
Girl 1: Face it lady, we're younger and faster!
[Evelyn rear-ends the other car six times.]
Girl 1: What are you DOING?
Girl 2: Are you CRAZY?
Evelyn: Face it, I'm older and I have more insurance!
Sipsey: Secret's in the sauce.
Ninny: I found out what the secret to life is: friends. Best friends.
