I love the part where Chen:
A) Totally hands their asses to each other
B) Sets the decoration of the banister carving back just exactly right to his own standards.
Two Honourable Mention Moments:
1) The dissipation of light through the clouds and through the mist is amazing. That kind of dissipation is so tough to do and do right in a simulated environment. I cannot get enough of the detail Blizz puts into their cinematics, lyke, holy hell.
2) When the Alliance Commander subconsciously hands the pointed stick to the Orc Captain. Not only is it a funny moment, but it might show that even in hate, the two sides will still band together and help each other out, even if their homelands aren't being destroyed by an insane, egotistical dragon or their comrades being raised as zombehs.
After the Cataclysm Cinematic, and the Wrath of the Lich King for that matter, it's so fun to see Blizz having fun with it, to place humour where it needs to be (the TBC sheeping scene comes to mind). I'm super stoked for this expansion, because it will definitely show at this point that they had a blast creating this world, the characters, the quests, and most certainly the detail in the landscapes.
THIS is what a trailer should do and be: Funny, genuine, honest, and showing where you're going to go, to travel through, not some baddie that you'll be chasing down. That worked for Wrath, because Arthas was er'rywhurr you turned, but for Cata it fell flat because I never once saw him scorch the sky when I was playing. I was that unfortunate, and I was amazingly disheartened that I couldn't stand in the fire and get the FoS before it became an achievement.
But THIS, oh, THIS, is what showcases their ability to tell stories. It shows at this point that Blizzard had fun making the trailer, and this will be a stupidly slow six weeks now that I've seen this. The best part? You're not even shown who the big bad is, if there's even one for this expansion. I would be super stoked if there wasn't a big bad to defeat at the end, but to be introduced to one in that time. My bet's on Azshara, but we'll see (sea?) as MoP progresses.
