But I'm not entirely moonlighting from my primary task - I do have four AotB stories in the pipeline as well.
One an outline, one half-written, one in beta, and one back from beta and causing me endless trouble with its final scene, which is a piece of dialogue that just won't come out right. Stay tuned!
Thankfully the writer's block or wobble or whatever-it-was is now thoroughly vanquished and the plot bunnies are multiplying with gay abandon in my ideas file.
Meanwhile I have been making myself write dialogue. I got uncharacteristically carried away with Valentine fluffiness and wrote an extremely daft and sentimental Booshfic complete with sparkly hearts. Bucket required. (I am now seriously contemplating writing tentacle porn. I have so gone wrong...)
Then I randomly adopted a prompt from the Eagle kinkmeme and wrote another slightly less daft but equally sentimental Eaglefic. I did research for this one. Drank lots of whisky. And very nice it was too.
Feels good to be putting words in order again!
