Those of you who know what's going on- thanks being there. Those of you who don't or don't care, I won't bore you with the details here. So I'll bore you with other things instead...
Saw The Matrix Reloaded last night. The movie theater was packed and people were bickering for tickets and seats. Wha? Can you believe that? I mean, it's just a movie. It's not worth the hassle. Thank goodness I won the tickets and didn't have to wait in line.
The movie itself was ok. The special effects were predictably amazing but the complete lack of plot was disappointing to say the least. I wasn't looking for Terms of Endearment or anything, but some substance other than seeing the cool fights and Carrie Anne Moss in leather, you know? It seemed like a very long but very cool video game. But we had a good time anyway. Some of the scenes had me gasping out loud and at the end of one big sequence had the whole audience cheering. So cool. Getting out of the house and doing something together was just wonderful. So overall experience? ***1/2 out of *****
I got to talk to Melissa yesterday on the phone, so that made me feel less left out since I've been gone for so long. She's doing well, for those of you who haven't been able to touch base with her. She sounds happy and that made me happy.
Love this movie on TV. One of my cheesy weaknesses. "When it comes to suffering, she's right up there with Elizabeth Taylor." And "If you don't have anything nice to say, come sit by me."
