Author Reveal
The authors' names are now attached to the fics in our archive; if you've been delaying reviewing the wonderful fics there, now's a great opportunity! Authors, you may respond to comments now as you like.
Distribution Questions
Now that you've written a wonderful fic for
ides_of_april, you probably want to know how we feel about distributing that fic around--so here are a few brief questions and answers.
May I post my fic on my own journal? Yes, of course!
May I post my fic on other fanfic communities? Yes, please do! Although I'd appreciate it if you mentioned that you wrote it for
ides_of_april; as you may have noticed, this is a very small fic exchange.
May I post other people's fics on other fanfic communities? Ask the authors. Some writers really love being linked and recommended far and wide; others like to try to restrict their audiences. Please respect those wishes.
The Future of Ides of April
A few questions about how the Ides of April Ficathon should be run in the future; your feedback would be greatly appreciated.
1. Should it remain an annual fic exchange? Or should we hold exchanges more often?
2. Should the fic exchange itself remain annual, but with non-annual components? For example, should we enable people to fill unfilled prompts throughout the remainder of the year?
3. Should it remain an annual fic exchange, but should the comm also archive Greek/Roman-play fanfiction that was not written specifically for the exchange? [Edited to clarify: and by archive I mean 'allow posting of related fics' rather than simply 'index.']
Thank you all very much for your participation, and I hope to see you next year--or earlier!
